Jefischa governs the fourth hour of the night, called Ramersy, in the Ars Paulina. Joseph H. Peterson’s digital edition identifies its source as British Library manuscript Sloane 3825; the passage is marked 139r.
The fourth night hour
The text assigns Jefischa 101,550 dukes and other servants, divided into twelve orders or degrees. It then selects six chief dukes and twelve figures of the second order for its account. The following notice gives those figures 7,260 servants; that smaller number should be read with its immediate group rather than substituted for the earlier total.
This is an office within the grimoire’s arrangement of night hours. The next hour, Sanayfar, is assigned to Abasdarhon. Keeping each hour’s name and appointed angel together preserves the text’s organization.
