In Joseph H. Peterson’s digital edition of the Goetia (spirit 17), Botis is recorded as a great president and earl. He appears initially as a viper before assuming human form with large teeth, two horns, and a sword. The entry attributes to him knowledge of things past and to come, alongside reconciliation between friends and foes.
