In the Roberts and Rambaut translation of Irenaeus’s Against Heresies 1.30.5 at New Advent, the name is printed Astanphæus (Astanphaeus). Irenaeus places it seventh and last in a succession beginning with Ialdabaoth, within his report of teachings attributed to the Ophites and Sethians.
