Jehudiel.

Jehudiel is named among the archangels in the Orthodox Church in America’s account of the November 8 Synaxis of the Archangel Michael and the Other Bodiless Powers. This Eastern Orthodox commemoration supplies a specific religious setting for the name and its associated imagery.

Effort and divine reward

The OCA page interprets Jehudiel’s name through the glorifying of God. It describes the archangel as encouraging exertion for the Lord’s glory and interceding for the reward of those efforts. These are the devotional associations presented in that account.

Crown and whip in iconography

The same page describes Jehudiel holding a golden crown in his right hand and a whip with three red or black thongs in his left. It presents this image alongside the distinctive attributes of other named archangels.
