Onoskelis is a female spirit brought before Solomon in the Testament of Solomon. Sections 16–20 of F. C. Conybeare’s translation describe their encounter.
Solomon’s questions and command
The narrative presents Onoskelis in a woman’s form. She describes caves, precipices and ravines as frequent dwelling places. When Solomon questions her about her star, she identifies the full moon.
In this translation, Onoskelis says that she is subjected to Solomon through the wisdom of God given to him and through the angel Joel. Solomon then commands her to spin hemp for ropes used in building the house of God.
