Puruel in the Testament of Abraham
Version 1, chapter 13 of the Testament of Abraham, as presented by New Advent, names Puruel as a fiery archangel who holds fire and tests human works.
Dokiel weighs deeds in the same scene. When the testing fire consumes someone’s work, an angel of judgment carries that person away. Puruel’s task in this passage is the testing by fire.
