Verchiel is assigned to Leo in Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa’s Three Books of Occult Philosophy, Book III, chapter 24.
Leo and July
Agrippa lists Verchiel among the spirits set over the twelve zodiac signs. Separately, Yoga Vidya’s contemporary German account calls Verchiel the angel of July and ruler of Leo.
