Xaphan is described as a demon of the second order in Jacques Collin de Plancy’s Dictionnaire infernal, sixth edition, 1863.
The rebel and the bellows
The entry says Xaphan joined Satan’s rebels and proposed setting heaven on fire. Cast with the others into the abyss, he continually blows the embers of furnaces with his mouth and hands. His emblem is a bellows.
